About QAC Online
QAC Online was founded in 2023 with the purpose of making Queensland Aerospace College’s (QAC) extensive General Familiarisation course portfolio accessible for students both on-line and on-demand.
QAC Online prides itself on delivering innovative course content in a format that is easy to follow for students of all levels.
Course materials are based on official Aviation regulator approved courses, developed by our in-house engineers and training experts.
The complete course portfolio has no pre-requisites and is suitable for anyone with a general interest in Aircraft, or existing members of the Aviation and Aerospace industry who would like to develop their knowledge about the aircraft they work with day to day.

1990
Humble Beginnings
Queensland Aerospace College (QAC) was born when founders Harry & Dawn McDougall conducted an Australian Federal Government funded program for the training of aircraft maintenance engineers in a joint venture with the Central Queensland University
1992
Government Approval
QAC became a ‘Government Approved Training Organisation’ followed soon thereafter with ‘registered Training Organisation’ status from the Queensland Government.
1993
Commenced Flying
QAC commenced flying operations, both air charter and flight training and was also registered with the Australian Government as a CRICOS Provider for the intake of international students
1998
Apprentice Training
QAC became the first private organisation in any industry in Australia to receive apprenticeship training approval.
2001
Relocation
QAC relocated from Rockhampton to its new Wooloowin offices in Brisbane.
2006
EASA Approval
QAC becomes an approved European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) Maintenance Training and Examination organisation.
2010
Transition to new CASA system
In 2010 QAC transitioned to the new regulator framework.
2014
OJT program launch
In 2014 QAC received it’s inaugural OJT program approval.
2020
QAC goes online!
As a result of the COVID pandemic, QAC shifted the delivery of all theory courses online and continues to provide virtual theory courses.
2023
QAC Online launch!
2023 marks the launch of QAC Online and the delivery of a broad portfolio of online and on-demand aviation courses.
